The Final Furlong
Posted by Jamie under Development News, Gengo, Site News.
Gengo 0.9 is nearly here. This site is now running on WordPress 2.1.2 and Gengo 0.9 Release Candidate 3. Lots of bugfixes have gone in in the last couple of weeks. If you encounter any problems using this site, be sure to let me know and hopefully we can make 0.9 a bug-free as possible…
One known issue is that the language control in the sidebar doesn’t seem to be functioning at the moment. This will be fixed up in a final release. For the time being, you’re stuck with the ordering of languages that you’ve got… Sorry about that!

I want to let the final release candidate settle in for a couple of days. As it’s Wednesday evening here now, I’m thinking Saturday afternoon UTC+10:00 for a final release…

I feel it is the very plugin I need for my multilingual (up to 6 or even 7 languages) blog. Can you tell me if comments in all languages can be displayed in one place. I mean that all comments could be available under the post in every available language. Say I have a post in english, russian and mongolian, and I want all comments posted after three variants of the same page be available after each translation. I hope you uderstand me )) Thanx a lot, you’re doing great work!

Tsebeen,
Before WordPress 2.1, it wasn’t possible, but thanks to some recent changes, this can now be done. It isn’t in Gengo 0.9, but 0.9.1 will offer this feature…
Cheers,
Jamie.

Hi Jamie,
I have installed Gengo 0.9 and I have been looking around to get familiar with it. However I have a couple of question.
Once again, thank you, this is an amazing plugin and is exactly what I was looking for.

Hi Albert,
Sorry to do this to you, but for support questions, please go to the forum. I’d like to keep all the support stuff in the same place. There are also answers to some of the questions you ask there. For the others, create a new discussion and I’ll be happy to help.
Cheers,
Jamie.
